Healthmail from your GP
Ask your GP to send the prescription to Laois Pharmacy by Healthmail. We will message or call you when it is ready.
Drop it in
Hand it over the counter and collect later the same day, or wait while we prepare it.
Common questions
Can I order a prescription online and have it delivered?
Prescription medicines are collected from the pharmacy, or delivered locally in Portlaoise by arrangement. Message us on WhatsApp and we will let you know what we can do.
Do I need the paper prescription?
If your GP sends it by Healthmail, no. If you have a paper prescription, send a clear photo on WhatsApp and bring the original when you collect.
How long does it take?
Most prescriptions are ready within a few hours during opening hours. If a medicine has to be ordered in, it usually arrives the next working day and we will tell you.
Can you set up repeat prescriptions?
Yes. Tell us which medicines you take regularly and we will remind you before your next repeat is due and have it ready for collection.
What about private prescriptions for weight loss medicines?
We dispense Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy on valid prescriptions, including Healthmail prescriptions from online doctors. See our weight management page for details.
