The Common Conditions Service is an HSE-funded service that allows pharmacists to assess, advise on, and in many cases supply treatment for a range of common minor ailments. It is available at Laois Pharmacy to patients with a medical card, free of charge.

For medical card holders, this service is completely free of charge. Private patients can also avail of the service, ask our team about pricing.

When Should I Go to a GP Instead?

Our pharmacists are trained to identify when a condition requires GP care. If your symptoms suggest something more serious, such as a high fever, symptoms not improving, or a condition outside the scope of the service, we will advise you to see your GP as a matter of priority.
