Hedrin Kills Head Lice Naturally Lotion 100ml (also listed as Hedrin Once Natural Liquid) is a pesticide-free lotion for parents who prefer a plant-derived formula. It goes onto dry hair and is washed out after 5 minutes.

How it works

According to the manufacturer, the lotion is based on hemisqualane and beeswax. These coat the louse, block its breathing holes and dry out its outer skin. It works physically and contains no neurotoxic insecticide, so lice are not expected to develop resistance to it.

How to use

• Shake before every use.
• Apply straight onto dry hair and work it in with a comb or fingers, covering from root to tip.
• Leave for 5 minutes.
• Apply shampoo before wetting the hair, lather, then rinse well.
• Comb through with a fine-tooth nit comb and check again after 7 days.

Suitable for

Adults and children from 6 months; check the age guidance on your pack before use. Avoid the eyes and do not apply to broken skin. Stop using it if irritation develops. As with other head lice products that coat the hair, keep treated hair away from naked flames and other heat sources until it has been washed out. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask our pharmacist before use.
